The Baiga belongs to the Gondwana Land which existed as one region before the tectonic plate movement started. The tribe is found in Madhya Pradesh in Central India including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and some parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Their lifestyle is intriguing and of anthropological interest. Their culture, rites, and rituals are part of interesting studies. A good population of forest dwellers in Baiga tribal is found near Kanha National Park.
